The Porch Talk: A One Act Play *
Written by Sharonda “Eccentrich” Richardson and directed by Curtis Smith, both Pompano Natives, “The Porch Talk” explores the intertwined lives of three generations. Conflicts and revelations arise as they navigate changing societal norms, revealing the challenges of communication across generational divides. Through humor and poignancy, the play delves into themes of heritage, expectations, and the true meaning of community, highlighting the importance of connection and understanding amongst family.

RUBIN: An original documentary film by filmmaker Tenille Brown*
This powerful documentary explores the life and legacy of Rubin Stacy, whose 1935 death left a lasting impact on Broward County. Through the voice of his niece, Anne Naves, the film blends personal history with community memory. A post-screening conversation with director Tenille Brown will explore the making of the film and the role of storytelling in remembrance and healing.
